I have signed on with a third-party biller called Headway who handles all payments/billing issues through insurance and allows me to work with clients who have the following insurances (anyone else will have to pay “out of pocket”):
- Aetna
- Premera Blue Cross Washington
- Regence BlueShield of Washington
If you are seeing me through Headway, I will not be involved in any of the billing process. You will interface with Headway and your insurance to resolve any billing issues.
For out of pocket payments, these are my full session fees for 2024:
- Regular session (may include short EMDR “bursts”): 45 minutes – $165
- EMDR Intensive: 90 minutes – $365
I have recently re-opened a few sliding scale spots for regular sessions for people who are paying out of pocket (not EMDR intensives). The fees for sliding scale range from $110 to $145.
Please bear in mind that for out of pocket, payments for each session are due at its conclusion. Unfortunately, carrying a balance due is not possible. If your card is declined after a session, we will not be able to meet again until full payment is received.
It’s important to note that session fees may increase by 10% annually, effective from January 1st each year. This adjustment reflects the changes in inflation and the cost of living. Please plan in advance for this potential change each January. Rest assured, you will be notified at least a month in advance if there are any changes in rates for the upcoming year.
All out of pocket payments will be run through Ivy Pay, a credit card processor designed for therapists with HIPAA compliance in mind. You will receive a text after your first session with a link to setup and store your credit/debit/hsa card. From there on out, I will automatically charge your card after each session.
